豊島でボランティア！Volunteer in Teshima!在丰岛做志愿者！（2025年5月25日）

豊島でボランティア！「こえび隊」として活動してきました

こんにちは！「こえび隊」活動当日のレポートです。

こえび隊の朝はとっても早いです。早朝に高松港に集合して全体ミーティング。その後、それぞれの担当の島へと分かれて出発します。

不思議な蔵のアート「あなたの最初の色」

私たちの担当は豊島（てしま）！

ピピロッティ・リストさんの『あなたの最初の色（私の頭の中の解―私の胃の中の溶液）』という作品の受付を、私たち3人と地元の方の4人で担当しました。

作品は古い蔵の中にあります。ブレーカーを上げると、暗い蔵の中に鮮やかな世界が浮かび上がります。太い梁（はり）の上に丸いスクリーンがあって、そこにカラフルな映像が映し出される、とっても不思議で素敵な作品でした。

昨日の大雨とは打って変わって、時々青空も見えるお天気に！春会期の最終日ということもあって、たくさんのお客さんが来てくださいました。中にはサイクリング中にふらっと立ち寄られた方もいて、「芸術祭やってるんだ！」と驚きながら作品を見ていかれる姿が印象的でした。

お昼休みは、すぐ隣にある「島キッチン」で食べたかったのですが……残念ながら予約でいっぱい！昨日コンビニで買っておいたパンを食べました。お隣から漂ってくる、すっごく美味しそうな匂いを感じながらのランチも、今となっては良い思い出です。

「赤」と「黒」の記憶

帰りのフェリーの時間があったので、少し早めに活動を切り上げさせてもらったのですが、港へ向かう途中でスタッフの方が2つの作品に連れて行ってくださいました。

砂浜にあるベンチの作品『海を夢見る人々の場所』と、塩田千春さんの『線の記憶』です。

塩田さんの作品は、新潟の「大地の芸術祭」にある『家の記憶』と兄弟のような作品です。新潟は「黒い糸」でしたが、豊島は「赤い糸」。

黒い糸の作品は静かなイメージだったけれど、赤い糸はまるで炎に包まれているようなエネルギーを感じました。色が違うだけでこんなに印象が変わるなんて驚きです。私は、この『線の記憶』の情熱的な感じがすごく好きだなと思いました。

帰りのフェリーでは豊島で活動していた他のこえび隊の方と一緒になり、瀬戸内国際芸術祭に関する新しいお話をたくさん伺うことができました。知らないことが多くとても面白いお話が多かったです！

活動を終えて

ボランティア活動はたった一日でしたが、島の人や観光客の方と触れ合えた時間は、私にとってすごく新鮮でキラキラしたものでした。

自分たちの手でアートの場所を守るやりがいに気づけた一日。次はもっと長い期間、こえび隊の活動に参加してみたいです！

 Volunteering on Teshima! My Day with "Koebi-tai" 

Hi everyone! Here is my report on our actual activity day as part of "Koebi-tai."

The morning starts very early for Koebi-tai. We gathered at Takamatsu Port in the early morning for a general meeting, then split up by island and set off!

The Mysterious Art in a Storehouse: "Your First Colour"

Our assignment was Teshima!

The three of us, along with a local resident—four in total—were in charge of the reception for Pipilotti Rist’s artwork, Your First Colour (Your Self-Regard in My Mental Home - My Solution in My Stomach).

The artwork is located inside an old storehouse. When we flip the breaker, a vibrant world emerges within the dark space. There is a circular screen resting on the thick wooden beams, projecting colorful images. It was such a mysterious and beautiful piece.

In contrast to yesterday’s heavy rain, the weather cleared up, with blue skies peeking through at times. Since it was the final day of the Spring Session, many visitors came by.

Encounters on the Island and a Little "Tease"

I was struck by some visitors who were just cycling by and stopped, surprised to find an art festival happening. It was great to see them enjoy the artwork spontaneously.

For lunch, we really wanted to eat at "Shima Kitchen" right next door, but unfortunately, it was fully booked! We ended up eating the bread we bought at a convenience store yesterday. Eating our lunch while smelling the delicious aromas wafting from next door is now a fond memory.

Memories of "Red" and "Black"

Because of our return ferry schedule, we finished our shift a little early. On the way to the port, a staff member kindly took us to see two other artworks: The Place Where People Dream of the Sea (the beach benches) and Chiharu Shiota’s Memory of Ocean.

Shiota-san’s work is like a sibling to Memory of Household at the Echigo-Tsumari Art Field in Niigata. While the Niigata piece uses black thread, the Teshima piece uses red thread.

The black thread work felt quiet and still, but the red thread felt like it was filled with energy, as if wrapped in flames. I was amazed at how a change in color could create such a different impression. Personally, I think I love the passionate feel of Memory of Ocean.

On the ferry back, we met other Koebi-tai members who had been working on Teshima. They shared so many new stories about the Setouchi Triennale. There was so much I didn't know, and it was all fascinating!

Final Thoughts

Though it was only a one-day volunteer experience, the time spent interacting with the islanders and tourists was fresh and sparkling to me.

It was a day that made me realize the fulfillment of protecting art with our own hands. Next time, I want to join the Koebi-tai activities for a longer period!

在丰岛做志愿者！作为“小虾队”的一天 

大家好！这是关于“小虾队”活动当天的报告。

小虾队的早晨非常早。清晨在高松港集合进行全体会议，然后按负责的岛屿分组出发！

仓库里的神秘艺术：“你的第一种颜色”

我们的负责区域是丰岛！

我们三人加上一位当地居民，一共四个人，负责皮皮乐迪·里斯特（Pipilotti Rist）的作品《你的第一种颜色（我脑中的解—我胃里的溶液）》的接待工作。

作品展示在一个旧仓库里。合上电闸，黑暗的仓库中便浮现出一个绚丽的世界。粗大的梁木上放着一个圆形屏幕，投射出五彩斑斓的影像，是一个既神秘又美妙的作品。

和昨天的暴雨完全不同，今天天气转晴，偶尔还能看到蓝天。因为是春季展期的最后一天，来了非常多的游客。

岛上的偶遇与小小的“遗憾”

让我印象深刻的是，有些骑单车环岛的人偶然路过，惊讶地发现“原来正在举办艺术祭啊！”，然后饶有兴味地欣赏起作品来。

午饭本想在旁边的“岛厨房（Shima Kitchen）”吃，可惜预约已经满了！我们只好吃了昨天在便利店买的面包。闻着隔壁飘来的阵阵香味吃午餐，现在想来也是一段有趣的回忆。

“红”与“黑”的记忆

因为要赶回程的轮渡，我们稍微提前结束了活动。在去港口的路上，工作人员带我们顺道参观了两个作品：沙滩上的长椅作品《人们梦想大海的地方》，以及盐田千春女士的《线的记忆》。

盐田女士的作品与新潟“大地艺术祭”里的《家的记忆》就像亲兄弟一样。新潟的作品用的是“黑线”，而丰岛则是“红线”。

黑线的作品给人一种宁静的感觉，而红线则像被火焰包围一样，充满了能量。仅仅是颜色不同，给人的印象竟然如此天差地别，这让我很吃惊。我可能更喜欢《线的记忆》这种充满热情的感觉。

在回程的轮渡上，我们遇到了其他在丰岛活动的“小虾队”成员。他们分享了很多关于濑户内国际艺术祭的新故事，有很多我以前不知道的事情，真的非常有趣！

活动感言

虽然志愿者活动只有短短一天，但与岛民及游客交流的时光，对我来说是非常新鲜且闪闪发光的。

这一天让我意识到了亲手守护艺术场所的成就感。下次我想参加时间更长一些的“小虾队”活动！
